Grishko 2007 And Nova Comparison
Video below comparing Grishko 2007 and Nova pointe shoes. 🙂
Grishko 2007 And Nova Comparison. The Grishko 2007 is a very classic model and from the same family comes Grishko Nova (also known as Grishko Nova 2007).
The Nova model is built on the same last as 2007 and has some great new features.
The 2007 features the following:
– High vamp
– U shape vamp
– With drawstring
– Normal satin
– Tapered box
– Mediumish platform
– Moderate wings
– Average sidequarters
– High heel
– Standard box paste (quite hard)
– Machine stitched sole
– Available in pro version (which is more quiet with sound absorption)
– Shanks from super soft to super hard (with a nice flex in the 3 quarter area and demi pointe standard. Takes a little work to break in but once it’s there it offers a great roll through)
The Nova features the following:
– High vamp
– U shape vamp but deeper cut than 2007
– With drawstring
– Double Upper (which makes the satin appear a lot smoother)
– Tapered box (but appears less tapered than 2007)
– A wider platform than 2007
– Higher supportive wings which provide flexibility due to elastic paste
– Slightly lower sidequarters
– A lower, sleeker heel
– Lightweight and increased durability due to special elastic paste (which feels softer and more pliable than 2007 standard)
– Machine stitched sole
– Available in pro version (which is more quiet with sound absorption)
– Shanks from super soft to super hard (with a nice flex in the 3 quarter area and demi pointe standard. Takes a little work to break in but once it’s there it offers a great roll through)
Personally as a pointe shoe fitter I have found a lot of dancers to prefer the Nova to the classic 2007 since it has been released. There are also other models based on the 2007 last and I will do videos and blogs about them too.
